📣Calling educators, advisors & student leaders!
Rainy Day Fund is inviting high schools, colleges, and student organizations to kick off the new year with a service-learning or civic engagement project that makes a real impact. Our Hygiene Pantries are open and while the shelves are beginning to fill, we need help to keep them stocked for our unsheltered neighbors.
Here’s how your school or organization can help:
🧼 Host a hygiene collection drive
💵Sponsor a month of supplies for $200
📦 Organize hygiene kit packing as a group service activity
This is a hands-on way for students to engage in community care, dignity-centered service, and systems change.
📧 Teachers & advisors: email cole@rainydayfund.us to get started.
Community care starts with students.

✨ Compassion x 2 ✨
Thanks to an anonymous donor, every gift you make will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000 through 11:59 PM on 12/31/25, doubling your impact.
Rainy Day Fund exists to meet urgent needs and eliminate financial barriers to success for folks involved in or at risk of involvement with the U.S. legal system. Together we can remove obstacles, restore dignity, and open real pathways forward.
We believe a person’s ability to pay shouldn’t determine their risk of legal system involvement and your support makes this vision real.

💙 We’re off to a meaningful start and we need your help to keep going.
Thanks to two generous donors, our Hygiene Pantry already has supplies packaged and ready to serve our unsheltered neighbors. This photo represents more than products, it represents dignity, care, and community.
But the need is urgent, and our shelves won’t stay full without continued support.
👉 Sponsor a full month of hygiene supplies for just $200
👉 Or donate hygiene items to help us restock
A small contribution makes a big difference for someone who deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for.

We are deeply honored to learn and share that Rainy Day Fund was featured by South Carolina Public Radio in a story that captures who we are, why we exist, and the people we serve.
This story isn’t just about our organization, it’s about our neighbors who are navigating crisis with dignity, resilience, and hope. It’s about the moments when a small act of support becomes a lifeline.
🎧 Listen to the full story here:
https://www.southcarolinapublicradio.org/show/narrative/2025-12-11/narrative-a-lawyers-wish-for-a-time-machine-and-a-social-worker
Right now, we are asking our community to stand with us in a powerful way.
An anonymous donor has stepped forward to match every dollar donated through 11:59 PM on December 31, 2025 of up to $15,000. That means your gift will go twice as far, immediately.
At Rainy Day Fund, 100% of all donations go directly to delivering our mission of helping real people navigate system-imposed barriers. No administrative fees, no dilution of impact.
This matching opportunity represents more than a fundraising goal. It is a chance to say, collectively, that people in crisis matter, and that timely, compassionate support can change outcomes.
If this story moved you, if our mission resonates with you, or if you believe in meeting people where they are with dignity and care, now is the moment to act.
💙 Please consider making a matched gift today and help us reach this $15,000 goal before the clock runs out on December 31.
Together, we can turn generosity into real, immediate impact, and ensure that no one has to face their hardest moments alone.

💙✨ Thank You, Spring Valley High School! ✨💙
Rainy Day Fund sends a huge thank-you to the National Honors Society and the National Science Honors Society at Spring Valley High School for their generous donations to our Hygiene Pantry last month.
Your commitment to service and civic engagement is helping us ensure that our unsheltered neighbors have access to the essentials we all need to feel human like soap, deodorant, toothpaste, socks, underwear, and more.
Young people stepping up to support their community gives us so much hope for the future. Your leadership and compassion make a real, visible impact right here in Columbia. 🌟
