A Simple Community Ask 💙
As many of you know, Rainy Day Fund is currently searching for a permanent office space. While that search continues, we`re looking for a temporary solution.
We`re wondering if anyone has access to a conference room or meeting space that our small team could use one day a week for 6–8 hours over the next several weeks.
We won`t be meeting with clients as this would be strictly for administrative work, planning, grant writing, case management, and keeping our programs running smoothly behind the scenes.
We`ve been utilizing the public library (and we`re so grateful for that resource!), but meeting room reservations are limited to three hours, which just isn`t enough time to complete everything we need to do.
If you, your employer, your church, or your business might be able to share a conference room with us one day a week, we`d love to connect.
Please send us a direct message or email us at RDF@rainydayfund.us if you have a space or know someone who might.
Thank you for always showing up for our organization. Every act of kindness, big or small, helps us continue serving South Carolinians working toward stability. ❤️
Can`t help with a space? We`d appreciate you sharing this post so it reaches someone who can.

Tiny team. Giant to-do list. Even bigger hearts. ❤️
Three people.
Countless emails.
Hundreds of client conversations.
Thousands of miles traveled.
One mission.
This little crew keeps Rainy Day Fund moving every day, and we`re so thankful for partners like the South Carolina Bar Foundation on who believe in the work we`re doing.
Thanks for another incredible networking event and for selecting Rainy Day Fund as a FY27 grantee!

💚 55 years of making a difference.
💚 Another year of changing lives together.
We are incredibly grateful to have been selected once again as a FY27 grantee by the South Carolina Bar Foundation!
Because of their continued support, more South Carolinians will be able to overcome legal and financial barriers that stand in the way of employment, housing, and long-term stability.
As the South Carolina Bar Foundation celebrates its Emerald Anniversary, we`re celebrating the impact this partnership will continue to make throughout our communities.
Thank you for believing in our mission and in the people we serve. 💚
🍃 Happy 55th Anniversary!

Sometimes the final barrier is the hardest one to overcome.
A reinstatement fee may look like a number on paper.
What we see is:
• A parent trying to get to work legally.
• An employee trying to accept a better job.
• An individual who completed every required step toward compliance.
• Someone who has spent months working to regain stability.
By the time many clients reach Rainy Day Fund, they have already done the hard work.
Our role is helping remove the final obstacle standing between them and opportunity.
Because access to transportation is often access to employment, housing, healthcare, and financial stability.

Many people assume that restoring a driver`s license is simply a matter of paying a fee.
In reality, the people we serve have often already completed the difficult part.
Before becoming eligible for reinstatement, many clients have spent months or even years meeting court requirements, resolving compliance issues, completing treatment programs, satisfying legal obligations, and working to rebuild stability in their lives.
By the time they come to Rainy Day Fund, they have often done everything that has been asked of them.
Yet one final barrier remains: the cost of reinstatement.
A few hundred dollars may not seem significant to some, but for someone working to secure housing, support a family, or recover financially, that amount can be the difference between moving forward and remaining stuck.
Our work is not simply paying fees.
It is helping people cross the finish line after they have already demonstrated their commitment to rebuilding their lives.

Our office will be closed beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026 through Sunday, May 31, 2026. We will reopen on Monday, June 1, 2026.
